As graduate with Ministry of Works:
Organised major alterations to the MoW head office building to accommodate a new mainframe computer.
A period as the Government’s representative for the Old St Pauls’ renovation.
Organised farm facilities for a Mana Island Quarantine station, which was to check for Scrapie disease.
(The precaution was needed which is why the Island now does not have any farming activity.)
As Registered Architect
In London:
Re-purposing Victorian buildings for commercial and education purposes.
preliminary and developed design for local authority pensioner housing.
preliminary and developed design for a rural community centre.
On return to New Zealand:
Contract documentation for a four-storey office building and carpark with two-storey shopping plaza below.
Forensic architecture investigations and reporting.
Contract documentation and contract administration for a college gymnasium.
Contract documentation for two teaching blocks at Wellington Polytechnic. (not built)
Contract documentation and administration for major library & entry extension at Wellington Polytechnic.
Continuing alterations and extensions at Wellington Teachers College
Contract variations, checking and ‘trouble-shooting’ for original major extension of Queensgate shopping plaza.
Converting an existing warehouse in Foxton to accommodate the Manawatu Historic Vehicle Collection Trust.
Key Community Involvements
Various committee positions with NZIA and AMINZ.
1983-1989: Member of Wellington East Girls College Board of Governors – convenor of Buildings Sub-committee during the period of establishing and designing the College’s major redevelopment and refurbishment.
Founding Convenor of Architect Against Nuclear Arms. 1984
NZIA Study Tour to China, Hong Kong and Singapore. 1987; Trade and ‘Sister-City’ Delegate to Eastern China 1998; study tour to China 2018.

Major Publications
Essay “Forward – To The New Basics” published in the NZ Planning Council’s commentary – ‘Curriculum: Core or Corset – Community & Business Views’ May 1991. This was at the time of ‘Tomorrow’s Schools’.
Mediation article in September 1997 issue of “The Chamber” published by the Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Written paper on Mediation to accompany presentations at the 1998 NZIA-CPD National Seminar Series.
